Pedego Folsom Electric Bikes Store Sets Bike Riders Free!

May 30, 2017

Hills, headwinds and distances fade away when riders twist the throttle

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 31, 2017 — Pedego® Electric Bikes Folsom, a Practical Cycle transportation company, is gearing up to celebrate its Grand Opening on June 9, and the public is invited to join the festivities. Store owner Tim Castleman is excited to bring Pedego Electric Bikes to Folsom, as Pedego bikes are a great match for the many beautiful yet often challenging trails in this region. Pedego electric bikes flatten hills and make headwinds a breeze while allowing riders to cruise great distances with a smile. Pedego Folsom is the 97th Pedego store worldwide.

The grand opening celebration starts at Noon and includes a free six-mile group ride to Nimbus Fish Hatchery, free test rides and refreshments. There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local VIPs in attendance to formally introduce the store to the community. Folsom Mayor Andy Morin and other local dignitaries are expected to attend as well as members of the Folsom Chamber and Rotary. Electric bike rentals are extremely popular as many riders enjoy setting their own course for adventure. Several Pedego models, including accessible Boomerang Pluses, gentle Comfort Cruisers and spirited Interceptors, offer a choice of fun riding for visitors. Priced beginning at $15 per hour, rentals of Pedego electric bikes are an affordable and fun way to see Folsom and the surrounding area. Rentals include maps, helmets, locks and bags.

Self-guided tours are also popular at Pedego Folsom as riders enjoy cruising for miles along scenic paths at their own pace and without exhausting themselves, thanks to the electric bikes. Pedego Folsom provides maps to great attractions in the area, including the Folsom Powerhouse, Nimbus Fish Hatchery, Old Town Folsom, Beals Point campground on Folsom lake and the 30-mile Jedediah Smith Memorial trail that connects to Old Sacramento. The Folsom Tacoma Lake bike trail, which runs along the American River Parkway, is a favorite destination for many cyclists. Pedego riders will especially enjoy sightseeing along these trails, especially when visiting the new Johnny Cash Trail, which is scheduled to connect with the American River Parkway trail in 2018.

Pedego Folsom is Castleman’s second location. For more than seven years, he has owned and operated Pedego Sacramento within Old Town Sacramento’s Practical Cycle, a highly-regarded hub for the bicycle-loving community. “Pedego Folsom offers a great selection of stylish, powerful Pedego electric bikes,” Castleman said. “Pedego electric bikes free riders from past constraints, such as a lack of strength or endurance, so they can enjoy exploring the countryside on two wheels.”

“The bike trails in and around Folsom are incredible,” said Pedego Electric Bikes CEO and co-founder Don DiCostanzo. “Tim Castleman’s passion for Pedego electric bikes empowers more people to enjoy riding around this beautiful region.”
