California Dreamin'

April 10, 2015

Dave and I just got back from a fantastic ride along the ocean from our campsite in Seal Beach through Sunset Beach & Huntington Beach to the edge of Newport Beach. The bike paths along the ocean. are incredible. The Santa Ana river flows between Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. Once we crossed the river we turned around then headed inland along the Santa Ana River path. We took a city street a few blocks, found a Trader Joe’s and bought a couple of Joe’s fantastic salads then headed back to the beach. We found an unoccupied picnic table and ate our lunch looking out over the ocean. From that point we started to use our motors more because we were getting tired. The last part of the ride in the bike lane of the PCH was a bit of a challenge. Traffic and very strong cross winds. But we made it back safely to our motorhome having covered exactly 30 miles. We still had more than half a charge left on our batteries. And some folks say you don’t get any exercise on an electric bike. HAH!! Our Pedegos are the absolute best of both worlds. !

A great place for lunch.
