Pedego Bloomington Electric Bike Store Juices up Cycling in the Region
Grand Opening party scheduled to celebrate opening of first Pedego store in Indiana
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 8, 2016 — A new kind of energizing fun is arriving in Bloomington with the opening of Indiana’s first Pedego® Electric Bikes store. It’s Pedego Electric Bikes’ 87th store, and locals are abuzz at the news that Bloomington will lead the state in electric biking opportunities. The Grand Opening Celebration is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 16, and will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Noon. The Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce will partner in the event, and local VIPs are expected to attend. Additional festivities will include free test rides, a raffle and refreshments.
Pedego Bloomington co-owners Frank and Karen Muscato are proud to open the first Pedego store in Indiana. Bloomington, especially, has developed a reputation as a bike-friendly town by maintaining multi-use trails, city streets with designated bike lanes, street signage and more. “For years, we have seen how our community appreciates and encourages bicycling for recreation and transportation,” explained Karen. “And we’re thrilled for this opportunity to provide fantastic Pedego electric bikes to the region. Folks who might be limited by sore knees or unable to bike up hills will undoubtedly find electric biking as fun as we do.”
